The United Nations on Thursday said that both Israel and Hamas have given indications that they want to reduce tensions in and around the Gaza Strip, Reuters reported."We are hearing a clear desire from all concerned to de-escalate the situation and respect calm and I appeal for an end to acts of violence," UN special envoy to the Middle East Robert Serry said in a statement.Serry added that the UN is trying to reduce tensions in the region as well.
