UN Peacekeeping forces kidnapped in Congo

On Thursday, three United Nations peacekeepers were kidnapped in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a UN source told AFP.
"Three members of MONUSCO (the 20,000-strong UN peacekeeping force)... have been kidnapped in Kibumba", said the UN source.
One of the people kidnapped is part of the international UN force, while two others, who are Congolese, are part of a demining team.
It was not reported who is thought to be responsible for the kidnapping.
