UN secretary general 'greatly concerned' over Lebanon rocket fire

UN Secretary General expressed his concern in a statement on Monday over rockets fired from Lebanon that landed in Israeli territory earlier this week.
The secretary general was concerned that rockets had been fired inside the area of operations of UNIFIL, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, in violation of the 2006 resolution 1701 which intended to end the Israel-Lebanon conflict.
UNIFIL was investigating the incident in cooperation with both the IDF and the Lebanese Armed Forces.
In the statement, Ban Ki-moon urged "all concerned to exercise maximum restraint and cooperate with UNIFIL in order to prevent an escalation."
