UNRWA denies report that agency head left Gaza following Hamas threats

The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), denied on Friday a report according to which the agency's chief in the Gaza Strip, John Ging, fled the territory after his life was threatened by Hamas. According to earlier reports, Ging refused to transfer funds from UNRWA to Hamas. The agency's speaker Chris Gunness said Ging was in Gaza and never left.
