UN's human rights chief: Assad involved in crimes against humanity

Navi Pillay, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights said Monday that there is evidence implicating Syrian President Bashar Assad and other Syrian officials at the highest levels of government in war crimes and crimes against humanity in the ongoing civil war.
Referring to a UN commission of inquiry into human rights violations in Syria produced "massive evidence ... (of) very serious crimes, war crimes, crimes against humanity," and that the evidence indicates "responsibility at the highest level of government, including the head of state," AFP quoted Pillay as saying.
