Media outlets in Uruguay are reporting late Tuesday that a Jewish man from the town of Paysandu was stabbed to death by a man who shouted “Allahu akhbar” (“God is great,” in Arabic).
The victim suffered serious wounds and later died in the hospital. Police are meanwhile questioning the suspect.
So far, investigators want to ascertain if anti-Semitism was the motive for the killing.
