US airlines to get $50 billion coronavirus loan package

US airlines will get about one-quarter of the $200 billion collateralized loan package being worked out with Congress – or $50 billion – to help firms deal with the economic impact of the coronavirus epidemic, White House trade adviser Peter Navarro said.
Navarro told Fox News the legislative package would also help the Federal Reserve to use the Exchange Stabilization Fund to provide needed liquidity and "turn on the spigot so that we get whatever we need in the economy."
