US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro says Obama determined to stop a nuclear Iran

The US Ambassador to Israel, Dan Shapiro, says US President Barack Obama made clear to the UN Assembly that Iran cannot be allowed to obtain nuclear capabilities.

Speaking to Israel Radio's 'Boker Tov' segment on Wednesday morning, Shapiro noted that while Obama prefers finding a diplomatic solution to the Iranian problem, he is willing to use additional economic sanctions or even military force if necessary.

He added that while Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has made encouraging overtures in recent days, there must be accompanying actions with which to measure Rouhani's words.
