U.S.-backed Syrian forces re-launch ISIS battle in east

BEIRUT - The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Tuesday they have re-launched their battle to capture the last Islamic State pockets in eastern Syria.
The SDF, an alliance of Kurdish and Arab militias, said they paused the fight against Islamic State after Turkey launched an assault in January against their northern Afrin region.
