US House c'tee approves nearly $1b. for Iron Dome

A US House of Representatives subcommittee on Monday released an appropriations bill that includes nearly $1 billion for Israeli missile and rocket defense systems for the coming year.
The House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee appropriated $947 million toward Iron Dome, David's Sling and Arrow in a session Monday. The funding is the highest ever appropriated in a single year for the programs, Congressman Steve Rothman said in a statement.
