US Justice Department charges 7 men in racially motivated firebombing

WASHINGTON - Seven Los Angeles men were charged for the firebombing of African American residences in a May 2014 incident that occurred in the city's Boyle Heights neighborhood, the US Justice Department announced Thursday.
The 10-count indictment alleges the men targeted African American residents and used firebombs to intimidate them to leave their homes. The men were also charged for involvement in a street gang known as the Big Hazard, the department said.
