US presidential hopeful says union battles prepared him to take on Islamic State

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. - Potential Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker told grassroots conservatives on Thursday that his battle with labor unions as Wisconsin's governor had given him the mettle needed to take on militant groups like Islamic State.
""We need a leader who will stand up and say we will take the fight to them and not wait until they take the fight to American soil," Walker told the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC)."If I can take on 100,000 protesters, I can do the same in the rest of the world," he added.
