U.S., Taliban talks end with no Afghan peace deal; more talks planned

KABUL, Afghanistan, March 12 - United States and Taliban negotiators on Tuesday wrapped up their latest round of peace talks, with progress made but no agreement on when foreign troops might withdraw, sources said.
The talks, in which the U.S. also sought assurances that the Taliban will not use Afghanistan to stage attacks, are expected to continue later in March.
