US to bolster intelligence sharing with France after attacks

WASHINGTON - US Secretary of Defense Ash Carter and Director of National Intelligence Jim Clapper have issued new instructions to US military personnel to allow for easier sharing of planning information and intelligence with their French counterparts, the Pentagon said on Monday.
"In the wake of the recent attack on France, we stand strong and firm with our oldest ally, which is why the US and France have decided to bolster our intelligence sharing," said Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook in a statement.
