WASHINGTON - A powerful magnitude 6.0 earthquake hit northern Chile at 0713 GMT on Saturday, the US Geological Survey reported.The temblor was centered 20 miles west (32 kms) northwest of Antofagasta, Chile, at a depth of 30.8 miles (50 kms), according to USGS.
