Weintraub appointed Israel Project VP

Former diplomat and political strategist Lior Weintraub has been appointed a vice president of The Israel Project and will run its local office in Israel, the hasbara group announced on Monday.
“Lior is an excellent addition to our impeccable executive staff. He will help in guiding our institution and will oversee our Israel-based activity and staff, serving as the senior most representative of TIP in Israel,” said CEO and president Josh Block.
Weintraub, who previously served as chief of staff at the Israeli Embassy in Washington from 2008-2012 and has acted as a strategist for some of the world’s most influential stakeholders, “will strengthen our work in Israel and amplify the voices and connections of those in Israel who are so critical to our work and to our institutional strategy,” Block said.
