White House briefly locked down after security incident

WASHINGTON - The White House was locked down briefly on Tuesday afternoon after a security incident, a Secret Service official said.
A journalist leaving the White House said Secret Service agents told him a person jumped the fence in front of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, which is on the White House campus and sits just west of the executive mansion. The agents said a stretcher had been ordered.
Another Secret Service official, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the White House had been locked down for about 20 minutes. The official said the agency would release a statement.
