Woman gives birth by rare seventh cesarean section in Rehovot

A hassidic woman gave birth to her ninth child on Monday - the seventh by cesarean section - at Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot. Having so many successive deliveries via surgery is very rare, as the risks increase with every cesarean birth. Few Israeli women have had more than four. Esther Teitelboim, a follower of the Kretchnif Rebbe, has eight girls, including the latest, and one son.
