Woman seriously injured in hit-and-run accident near Netivot

A 25-year-old woman was seriously injured on Saturday afternoon when she was hit by a car while crossing the road between Netivot and Sderot.
A Magen David Adom team arrived at the scene and evacuated the woman to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba.
The car that hit the pedestrian fled the scene, and police put up road blocks in order to apprehend the driver.
Police managed to capture the driver at a roadblock at the entrance to Netivot and he was taken in for questioning.
