World Jewish Congress slams Rouhani comments

World Jewish Congress (WJC), Ronald S. Lauder attacked Iranian-elect President Hassan Rouhani's Israel comments on Friday.
Rouhani said on Friday that Israeli occupation of Palestinian land had inflicted a "wound" on the Muslim world, a statement that was originally misquoted as "the Zionist regime is a wound that has sat on the body of the Muslim world for years and needs to be removed."
"People in the West should not delude themselves into believing that a man who says such despicable things is a partner for dialogue" Lauder said in a press release.
Lauder warned the world "he already sounds like his predecessor Ahmadinejad." Ahmadinejad is known notoriously for his controversial statements against Israel, and Rouhani has been seen as a moderate in comparison.
