Ya'alon: Israel has deterrence in Golan, eyes on IS

Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon said to Israel Radio on Monday that Israel is succeeding in deterring terror organization Islamic State (IS) from attacking the country from its bases in Syria.
Ya'alon stated that Iran has similar aspirations. "The Iranians have tried to open up a front against Syria, but the initiative failed," he said.
In addition, the former IDF Chief of Staff claimed Israel follows IS activity not only in Syria, but also the organization's supporters in Gaza and the West Bank.
