Ya'alon snub should come as "no surprise," US official says

WASHINGTON - Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon was categorically snubbed by the Obama administration during his visit to Washington this week, denied meetings at the State Department and the White House after calling the US-led peace push this year "messianic."
"We were shocked by some of the comments that he has made in the past, so it should come as no surprise that he wasn't able to get some of the meetings he requested," a US official told The Jerusalem Post on Friday.During his visit to Washington, Ya'alon sought meetings with Vice President Joe Biden, US Secretary of State John Kerry and national security advisor Susan Rice.
