A Houthi delegation from Yemen is holding talks with Saudi Arabia in Riyadh, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir confirmed at a press conference on Monday.
The talks are ahead of the planned ceasefire, backed by the United Nations, which is to begin on April 10, and the peace negotiations are scheduled to be held on April 18 in Kuwait.
The foreign minister welcomed the upcoming peace talks and said that the talks can be held without interference from outside forces.
"We welcome the upcoming talks that will be held with each of the Yemeni parties in Kuwait later this month. We hope the crisis can be solved, and the parties can reach a consensus to realize peace and stability in Yemen and to implement UN Resolution 2216," said Al-Jubeir.
