Yishai: Cancel 2012 budget in favor of new 'social budget'

Interior Minister Eli Yishai on Sunday called for the cancellation of the 2012 budget and for the creation of a new "social" budget.

Yishai met with social justice movement leader, Daphni Leef, saying that the cabinet's approval of the Trajtenberg Committee for socioeconmic change's recommendations effectively canceled the budget and created a budget of "social fracture," rather than social justice, Army Radio reported.

"Only the creation of a new budget can fix the distortion of the Trajtenberg report and complete what is missing from it," Yishai was quoted as saying.
