The government's proposed loyalty oath amendment to the Citizenship Law is not strong enough, Interior Minister Eli Yishai said at Sunday's cabinet meeting."I wish to propose a bill that would state that any person who cooperated with terrorists or betrayed the state, such as [MK] Haneen Zoabi who participated in the [Gaza] flotilla, will have their citizenship revoked and their status become that of a foreign worker," said Yishai. He added, "Today we find ourselves in the situation where former Knesset member Bishara is currently [living] in Syria and receives a government pension. I propose that his status be that of a foreigner and that he not even receive a living stipend."
