At the recent Mobile Monetization Summit in Tel Aviv, Global Delight Technologies announced a new version of its app, Game Your Video, called Vizmato. The Indian company chose Israel as its launching pad for Vizmato in an effort to increase the country’s visibility as the “Start-Up Nation."
With Vizmato, users can add zing to their movie making.
The app enables you to edit videos quickly and easily, and has tools to tweak, re-theme and filter them live. You can add special effects while you’re recording in HD in 720p or 1080p, with a high number of frames per second.
In addition, Global Delight produces Camera Plus, an app that Mashable called one of the 100 best iPhone apps of all time. The company was founded by Jason Foodman, a serial entrepreneur who is also an investor in MazelTalk, a Jewish discussion website. The senior product manager for Vizmato is Prapti Mishra.
Mobile Monetization Summit 2015
Israeli start-up PayKey is the winner of the 2015 Mobile Monetization Summit, which took place December 15 at the Tel Aviv Exhibition Grounds, and was sponsored by Philip Morris. PayKey beat out over 100 other start-ups and won thousands of dollars worth of advertising from Performance Revenues.
PayKey developed a unique technology that enables people to make payments using social networks such as Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp and Twitter. In general, people are not yet comfortable entering their credit card information on social media.
PayKey makes this process simple and intuitive: Funds are transferred instantly and securely, and PayKey even ensures that customers pay minimal fees. As more and more people begin feeling comfortable making payments on social networks, it will be even more essential that banks begin offering these services to fulfill their clients’ needs.
This year, PayKey won the title, “Most Visionary Social Media Solution” in the 2015 Citi Mobile Challenge, and recently launched a pilot with Citi to make the PayKey technology available to all Citi clients.
PayKey raised $400,000 this year from Magma Venture Capital Fund.
The second place winner was Salient Eye, a start-up that developed a technology that can turn any smartphone into a motion detection- based security system for your home or business. Nowadays, you don’t need to invest in sophisticated and costly home security systems. The Salient Eye app can detect any movement, which automatically directs your phone to take pictures. You can set the app to send you an SMS, email and/or have an alarm go off when movement is detected.
In third place was a start-up called Bazz, which has developed an app that enables people to listen to the content of SMS and WhatsApp messages while driving. After listening to the message, drivers can give one of four different voice commands: sending a pre-written SMS message, calling back the sender, recording and sending a voice message, or not responding. While using Bazz, drivers never have to take their eyes off the road or their hands off the steering wheel.
The app automatically starts when you begin driving and automatically stops when you reach your destination.
You never have to change anything in the GPS or Bluetooth settings.
Vikings: War of Clans
Plarium, a global leader in the development of games for mobile phones and social networks, with over 150 million users, recently announced the launching of a new strategy game: Vikings: War of Clans, which will be sold in the Amazon app store. Amazon will be offering a special discount to anyone who downloads the game between December 17 and January 14.
Vikings: War of Clans is not just another MMOG (massively multiplayer online game).
It’s an extremely advanced strategy game inspired by the historical era in which the Vikings lived (750-1050 CE).
Players compete in a brutally cruel world ruled by force, fear and violence.
Players must lead brave warriors into fierce battle, conquer other clans in the quest to gain more power than anyone else. The game was launched in August 2015, and in less than four months it has garnered over a million users.
Amazon managed to surpass Wal-Mart in market value in 2015 and is now the largest Internet-based retailer in the US.
“Amazon is an amazing platform that will help our game reach an entirely new audience,” said Leonard Frankel, director of business development at Plarium’s Herzliya office. “We are happy to see that Amazon believes in our game and I’m convinced that together we’ll succeed in realizing our potential.”
