Former President Shimon Peres was set to launch a new Israeli Innovation Center together with President Rivlin and Prime Minister Netanyahu in Jaffa on Thursday.
The launch will premier video simulations and a first look into the four floors that will present Israeli technologies and innovations that changed the world and led Israel to become the Start-Up Nation, including: drip irrigation, cherry tomatoes, Waze, solar heaters, Pillcam, and more.
The Israeli Innovation Center is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of students, soldiers, heads of state, tourists and business delegations from around the world, who will be exposed to the extraordinary story of how Israel came to be on the cutting edge of innovation around the world
The Israeli Innovation Center, which will be established at the Peres Center for Peace, will present the story of Israel as the "Start-Up Nation" - a country at the forefront of science and technology, on the cutting edge of groundbreaking Israeli inventions that dramatically changed the lives of millions of people around the world, and the story of major Israeli inventions such as drip irrigation, cherry tomatoes, Waze, solar heaters, Giving Imaging and more.
At the launch, plans for the establishment of the Israeli Innovation Center will be revealed through video simulations using the latest Israeli technologies, showcasing Israeli innovations that changed the world. Speakers will include President Rivlin, Prime Minister Netanyahu, Peres and Tel Aviv- Jaffa Mayor Ron Huldai.
The Israeli Innovation Center will open its doors in 2018 to hundreds of thousands of visitors from Israel and around the world, with a focus on students, soldiers, ministers and heads of state, tourists, and business delegations from around the world, who will learn about the most groundbreaking Israeli technologies and the extraordinary story of Israel, a state that arose from swamps and deserts with no natural resources to become a global leader thanks to Israeli innovations that changed the world.
