Sunday, July 2 Truth and falsehood about the health of leaders is the subject of a symposium to be conducted by the Jerusalem Center for Ethics at Mishkenot Shaananim. Sparked by the illness of former prime minister Ariel Sharon, reports about the psychological problems of former prime minister Menachem Begin and the knowledge that former prime minister Golda Meir was being treated for cancer, the symposium will be addressed by journalists and medical and security experts including Prof. Shlomo Mor Yosef, the general manager of Hadassah, who became a television celebrity while Sharon was hospitalized there. The World Congress of Jews from Egypt will be held from July 2 - 6 with the cooperation of the University of Haifa and the participation of Egyptian Ambassador Assem Ibrahim Mohamed. Monday, July 3 The Public Affairs department of the US Embassy in conjunction with the Justice Ministry's department for Equal Rights for People with Disabilities will host a bi-national conference based on legislation and realities for people with disabilities in the US and Israel.
