3.4% more cars on the road in '05

There were 2,107,000 motor vehicles in Israel at the end of last year, 3.4 percent more than in 2004, the Central Bureau of Statistics said Wednesday. The number of motor vehicles in the country grew by 2.8% in 2004; 1.1% in 2003 - the lowest growth rate since Israel's independence; 2.4% in 2002; and 4.6% in 2001.
