Roads 65 and 85 - currently two-lane roads - will be expanded to six-lane highways along stretches totaling 35 kilometers at a cost of NIS 778 million following Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's declaration of the work as a "national infrastructure project," the Israel National Roads Company said Tuesday. The project to "bypass Tiberias" will also include the construction of a highway interchange at the T-intersection of the two roads near Nahal 'Ammud, as well as a series of smaller interchanges, separation works and other infrastructure additions.
