There's a new airport in London - only it's some 100 kilometers away. Officials said they are now marketing Oxford Airport as London Oxford Airport. "We want to wave our flag to the global business-aviation community and say we exist as an alternative airport in the northwest of London," marketing manager James Dillon-Godfray said Tuesday. Tony Joyce, chairman of the Oxford Civic Society, a campaign group for Oxford residents, said, "If you land here in Oxford expecting to reach London you'll have a hell of a time." Dillon-Godfray said the name has been changed for marketing materials only - it's a private airport so it doesn't need outside approval - but official documents still refer to it as Oxford Airport.
