Shooting at Hampton University in US injures three

A spokeswoman for Hampton University in Virginia said shots were fired in a dormitory on Sunday and three people were taken to a hospital with injuries. Police do not yet have a motive for the shooter but believe the shooter is a former student, spokeswoman Yuri Rodgers Milligan said. Milligan said the shooter was among the three people hospitalized early Sunday along with a night manager for the Harkness Hall dorm. The school remained on lockdown while police investigate.
