The Salah Dabah & Sons chain, a giant in retail and meat, initiated a donation of more than half a ton of meat to the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa. The donation is part of the chain’s mobilization for Israel’s wartime system and was intended to bring joy to the medical teams, nurses, maintenance and administrative staff—those treating hundreds of patients who were transferred to the protected compound from two other hospitals in the city. This is a direct continuation of the ongoing relationship between the chain and the hospital over the years, both in routine times and during emergencies.

The donation includes a wide variety of high-quality meats. This initiative comes at a time when Rambam’s underground emergency complex is treating hundreds of patients under complex conditions, heavy workloads, and high operational demands on the medical teams. The facility, designed for emergency situations and operation under threat conditions, enables continued professional medical care even in extreme emergencies. Salah Dabah & Sons decided to provide practical support by supplying quality food to the teams working around the clock during this challenging period.

The Salah Dabah & Sons chain, which includes five branches across the country—Check Post Haifa, Ein Haצifratz, Beersheba, Deir al-Asad, and Migdal—is defined as an essential network and continues to operate in all its branches while fully preparing for emergencies. Despite heavy loads and the demand for essential products, the chain ensured supply, and there is no expected shortage. All branches contain protected areas with signage and guidance, and the chain's teams were briefed according to Home Front Command instructions.

Salah Dabah, CEO of the chain: “At this time, we are all mobilizing for the public in Israel. We see it as both a duty and a privilege to take part in the effort and contribute to the patients and medical teams who work day and night to provide care year-round and especially during these times. We believe that especially in such moments, solidarity and joint action are the foundation of true social resilience. We all hope for quieter days.”

Prof. Miki Halberthal, Director of Rambam Medical Center, added: “The hospital sees how every small addition, every gesture that shows attention to the teams working under difficult conditions, adds energy to their work and makes them feel that Israeli society appreciates their effort and dedication. This donation breaks the routine and brings a smile and light into the exhausting and stressful daily reality of war.”
