Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y have landed in Israel after a facelift, less than two years after their significant refresh in the Highland and Juniper versions. There are several interesting updates, the main one being that the Model 3 Long Range rear-wheel drive now surpasses the Cadillac Escalade IQ, becoming the electric car with the longest range in Israel — 750 km — at one-third of the price.
The more significant change is a new battery. Tesla has not officially revealed the capacity, but it is likely 82 kWh, which extended the driving range. The base model has been upgraded by 7 km, now offering 520 km with 19-inch wheels, while with 18-inch wheels the estimated range stands at 554 km. The price remains unchanged at NIS 211,000.
The Long Range version received a more substantial boost — from 702 to 750 km — while, as with other versions, performance figures remain unchanged. Price: From NIS 226,000. With dual motor all-wheel drive, the range increased by 31 km to 660 km, and the price remains NIS 244,000. The Performance version now offers a combined range of 571 km instead of 528 km, priced at NIS 291,000.
Another important change is the return of the turn signal stalk, which had been removed in the major refresh and replaced with a button — a move meant to differentiate the car but which caused safety issues and driver complaints. A front bumper camera has also been added to support adaptive cruise control and parking systems.
The Model Y has also received new batteries, with the Long Range dual-motor version now offering a combined range of 629 km, compared to the previous 586 km. Price: NIS 287,000.
