A crisis that threatened the operation of flights to Azerbaijan's capital has been resolved. After extensive efforts by Israeli security authorities led by Ofek, Arkia officially received approval to resume the route, and flights to Baku will restart on October 28, 2025. The route will operate with three weekly flights on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, allowing Israelis to return to this popular and beloved destination.

Oz Berlowitz, CEO of Arkia, stated: "I am pleased to announce that after great efforts by Ofek, the delay has been removed, and we are resuming operations on the popular and beloved route to Baku for Israelis. I want to thank 'Ofek' and personally its head, Mr. Meni Duanis, for the commitment, professionalism, and determination that made the resumption of this important route possible."

The Tel Aviv–Baku route is considered one of Arkia's strategic destinations in the Caucasus region and serves as an important economic and tourism bridge between Israel and Azerbaijan.

Arkia's inaugural flight to Baku will depart on October 28, 2025, with prices starting from $125 one-way.
