Another sign of falling prices in the electric vehicle market, which is no longer limited to Chinese brands, as seen in the new cheaper base version of the Tesla Model 3, and soon also in the Model Y.
Hyundai has started marketing the Ioniq 5 in new versions with revised pricing, all equipped with the large battery of 84 kWh and an official combined range of 570 km. There is no change in dimensions: 4.66 meters in length, 1.89 meters in width, 1.61 meters in height, and a 3-meter wheelbase. The specifications include rear-wheel drive, 229 hp, and 35.7 kg·m of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 185 km/h.
The Pure trim (NIS 215,000) comes with 19-inch wheels, twin 12.3-inch screens for multimedia and the instrument cluster, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, wireless phone charging, electrically adjustable and heated front seats, a power tailgate, and front and rear parking sensors.
The Ultra trim (from NIS 230,000) adds a BOSE audio system, 360° surround cameras, combined leather upholstery, live “blind spot” display on the instrument cluster, and the ability to park the car remotely without the driver being physically present in the vehicle.
The Excellence trim (from NIS 248,000) adds full leather upholstery with ventilated front seats that can fully recline, heated rear seats and steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, and more.
The vehicle warranty is 5 years or 100,000 km, and the battery warranty is 7 years or 150,000 km.
Hyundai is one of the few non-Chinese manufacturers still offering electric models in Israel. Later this year, the electric version of the Kona is also expected to join the Ioniq 5.
