Disneyland Paris is entering a new era - large, ambitious, and especially icy. On March 29, 2026, the World of Frozen is set to open, a massive new area inspired by the film Frozen, which will serve as the centerpiece of Disney’s renewed adventure park in Europe. This is a wide-scale initiative positioning the Paris resort alongside Disney’s flagship parks worldwide, with a total investment exceeding €2 billion.
The new area will not stand alone: Alongside it, additional themed worlds are being built based on Pixar, Marvel, and later The Lion King, all connected by a new central boulevard designed to make the park a continuous experience - not a collection of rides, but an entire world to explore.
Arendelle Comes to Life
World of Frozen will take visitors straight into the kingdom of Arendelle, a precise life-size recreation of the film’s world. At the center of the area will rise the Royal North Mountain, standing 36 meters tall, topped with Elsa’s Ice Palace. Surrounding it will be the ice-adorned Arendelle Castle, snowy alleys, and attractions that combine story, movement, and advanced technology.
Among the main attractions: The Ever After ride, an adventurous boat journey for the whole family alongside Anna, Elsa, and their friends; a course from the snowy forest to the Troll Valley; and other experiences integrating robotic characters, advanced sound, and AI applications that deepen the feeling of immersion in the story.
During their visit, guests can also participate in the Snowflake Festival - a seasonal celebration taking place in the heart of Arendelle, giving the area a lively and dynamic dimension that changes throughout the day and seasons.
The Frozen world will be connected to the other areas via Adventure Way - a new royal main boulevard serving as the park’s central axis. Along the boulevard, there will be entertainment zones, new restaurants, concept shops, and an original attraction inspired by the film Tangled.
At the heart of the boulevard, Adventure Bay will be unveiled - a huge lake serving as the backdrop for a new nighttime show with water, lights, music, and effects, designed to make the evening hours an experience in themselves.
Pixar, Marvel - and Later Simba
Alongside World of Frozen, other themed worlds will continue to operate and expand. The Pixar world will offer a colorful and dynamic journey through beloved films such as Toy Story, Ratatouille, Cars, and Finding Nemo, featuring seven main attractions, motion-intensive rides, and family experiences.
The Marvel world, Avengers Campus, will place the superheroes at the center, allowing visitors to meet characters like Spider-Man, Thor, and Black Panther, participate in advanced attractions, and experience live action shows that blur the line between viewing and participation.
Later, a new area inspired by The Lion King is set to open. This area, already in advanced construction stages, will include a central water attraction and take visitors on a journey following Simba’s story - through the Pride Lands, accompanied by iconic music, atop a 37-meter cliff.
According to Natasha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris, this is a historic milestone: “This is the most ambitious transformation in the history of our resort. The new adventure world brings deeper stories, stronger emotions, and unforgettable moments - marking a new era for Europe’s leading tourist destination.”
