After quite a few teasers and anticipation among design enthusiasts, IKEA is bringing back one of its most recognizable collections: IKEA PS – the brand's experimental and creative design series, which tries time and again to stretch the boundaries of familiar Scandinavian design.

The tenth edition of the collection will land in Israel on May 25 and will include 44 new items, including furniture, lighting fixtures, and home accessories with an emphasis on functionality, playfulness, and unconventional design.

Among the prominent items in the collection: A spinning floor lamp, an inflatable armchair, folding furniture items, and objects that rock or change shape – all in a more youthful, colorful, and flexible spirit than the classic line identified with IKEA.

The collection was designed by 12 different designers, who were given the freedom to rethink the way people use products at home – not only as functional objects, but also as items that arouse curiosity, interaction, and play.

IKEA explains that the PS collection was born out of the desire to make innovative design accessible to a wide audience, while maintaining simple, functional, and accessible products – but those that also bring character and a statement into the space.
