A Border Policeman shot and injured a Palestinian suspect who charged at him in the West Bank on Monday. Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said the incident began when a Border Policewoman guarding a Border Police facility at Telem, near Hebron, noticed a man acting suspiciously, and called on him in Hebrew and in Arabic to stop. The man ignored her calls and approached her, prompting her to fire warning shots in the air, Rosenfeld added.

A second Border Police officer arrived on the scene, ordering the suspect to stop. The man began approaching the policeman, and he too fired warning shots in the air, Rosenfeld said. The suspect then charged at the border Policeman, who responded by firing a single shot at the suspect and striking him.
