The Ministry of Defense on Thursday completed preparations for Israel Defense Force soldiers in time for Passover.Preparations included over 85 tons of matzos, 30 tons of cakes and cookies, and 4700 bottles of kosher for Passover wine.Pearl Ezekiel, head of food administration procurement, said the Ministry of Defense will provide tens of thousands of soldiers food that is kosher for Passover."We all have children and close relatives serving in the army and we want them to experience and feel the holiday atmosphere, and for them to have a happy, kosher and delicious holiday. Through coordination with the IDF Division of Technology and Logistics, we have made sure that every soldier in the IDF can conduct the Passover Seder."The items include: - Over 85 tons of matzos - 7.2 tons of matza flour - 2 tons of potato flour - 14 tons of tuna - 4800 boxes of horseradish - 11 800 boxes charoset - 9 tons artichokes - Three tons of powder for making dumplings - 4700 bottles of grape juice and wine - 23 tons of biscuits and cakes
