Violence escalated between terrorist groups in Gaza and the IDF starting Friday and continuing through Sunday. Islamic Jihad and the Popular Resistance Committees have taken credit for firing over 110 rockets from Gaza into southern Israel. Israel killed a group of terrorists on Friday who the IDF said had previously carried out and were planning to carry out terror attacks against Israel from Egypt.
