The family of a 17-year-old girl who was killed in an accident agreed to donate her organs, saving the lives of six people on Monday.The girl, Stav Schwartz, was the sixth youth to be killed in an accident in the last week, making it one of the deadliest beginnings of the school vacation in years.RELATED:Record of 35 organs transplanted into 27 people this week Last year, 50 youths were killed in accidental deaths from fires and drownings to choking, falls and road accidents during the whole summer vacation – and the elementary schools have not closed for the summer yet.Transplant coordinator Esti Katz of the Rambam Hospital in Haifa said that the Schwartz family was “very noble, agreeing to give Stav’s organs while in the throes of their pain and shock over her death. They have left a living memorial for their daughter,” she said.Dvora Sherer, of Israel Transplant, said that the center has recently seen an increase of families willing to donate organs and save the lives of the sick.
