Gamliel 1st female leader of Christian Allies Caucus

Gamliel, who has been a member of the Caucus since its inception in 2004, will share the position with MK David Rotem.

The Knesset Christian Allies Caucus appointed on Thursday its first female head MK Gila Gamliel (Likud Beytenu).
Gamliel, who has been a member of the Caucus since its inception in 2004, will share the position with MK David Rotem (Likud Beytenu), who held it in the previous Knesset.
“I am thrilled to expand my role in the Christian Allies Caucus,” Gamliel said.
“There are millions of Christians worldwide who stand with the State of Israel and the Jewish people. It is our duty and privilege to strengthen this relationship and thank them for their unwavering support.”
Gamliel added that she understands the importance of developing Judeo-Christian relations based on shared values, and has worked to build political ties through faith-based diplomacy with elected officials, pastors and grassroots Christians who support Israel from all over the world.
Josh Reinstein, director of the Christian Allies Caucus, praised Gamliel as “not only a hardworking and steadfast member of the caucus, but truly a leader with vision.
“Her new leadership role will be invaluable to our efforts,” Reinstein said.
The largest caucus in the previous Knesset, the Christian Allies Caucus coordinates its activities with more than 20 Israel Allies Caucuses around the world, as well as through the Israel Allies Foundation, which was founded by former tourism minister Rabbi Benny Elon.
The caucus consists of 17 MKs from six political parties.
