President says enhanced cooperation between the two countries could lead both to far greater heights.

Children waving Israeli flags in one hand and bouquets of red and pink flowers in the other greeted President Shimon Peres on Tuesday when he arrived at China’s Great Hall of the People  in Beijing for a welcome reception hosted by President Xi Jinping.

During the discussion between the two presidents, Peres told Xi that China has a central role to play in preventing Iran from becoming a nuclear power. With regard to relations between Israel and China, Peres said that enhanced cooperation between the two countries could lead both to far greater heights.
