Israeli and Palestinian lawmakers are to meet to discuss the Arab Peace Initiative at a conference in Jerusalem on Monday.The event, set to take place at the YMCA , is to launch the Prague Forum of Israeli, Palestinian and other Middle Eastern parliamentarians, and is scheduled to happen one day before the 2014 Arab Summit.Knesset Caucus to Solve the Israeli-Arab Conflict chairman Hilik Bar (Labor) plans to attend the event, as well as MKs Meir Sheetrit (Hatnua) and Ronen Hoffman (Yesh Atid).On the Palestinian side, chairman of the Committee for Connection with Israeli Society Muhammad al-Madani and former minister for prisoner’s affairs Ashraf al-Ajrami are expected to take part in the forum.In addition, EU Ambassador to Israel Lars Faaborg-Andersen and Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn are set to attend, as well as representatives from the US, Czech, Canadian, Dutch, Finnish, Italian, Austrian, Hungarian, Lithuanian, South Korean, Spanish, Nigerian and other embassies.The attendees plan to present a letter that will be brought to the Arab Summit on Tuesday calling for Arab countries to reaffirm its support for the Arab Peace Initiative.
