The Lebanese Army apprehended on Wednesday an Israeli citizen who crossed the border from Israel, the Beirut-based Daily Star quoted security sources as saying.
According to the report, the 34-year-old man jumped over the border fence south of the city of Nakoura, where the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon is located.
Lebanese authorities were interrogating the man, the report added.
The IDF confirmed that a person was seen crossing into Lebanon and that the army turned to UNIFIL with a request for further information.
The IDF was conducting searches in the border area.
