New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's apology to casino magnate, Republican power broker and pro-Israel hawk Sheldon Adelson over his use of the term "occupied territories" in referring to Judea and Samaria became the object of scorn on the hit program The Daily Show.
Jon Stewart, the widely acclaimed host, took Christie to task for seemingly yielding to Adelson purely out of political expediency.
“I took a helicopter ride from the occupied territories across and just felt personally how extraordinary that was to understand, the military risk that Israel faces every day,” the Republican governor, who is believed to be eyeing a run to the White House in 2016, was quoted as saying by Politico.
