Two months after the launching of the Ofek 10 satellite into space, the Israel Space Agency (ISA) said on Thursday that it’s functioning is “100 percent successful.”
Amnon Harari, the head of the space administration in the Defense Ministry, said at an event marking the 30th anniversary of the ISA that “everything we planned is working excellently, and the satellite has already made 1,000 revolutions around the Earth. One can say this was absolute success on the first attempt,” he added.
“The satellite was supposed to do a special maneuver and activate radar. After the first revolution, we already saw it was a success that we don’t take for granted.”
