New! on JPost.com: The Hot Potato This is your chance to voice your opinion. We've chosen a controversial / interesting entry that appeared on our site (talkback, blog, etc...) and we want to know what you have to say about it. TODAY'S HOT POTATO: Taken from article: Israel's image problem Talkback #: 2 + 4 Talkbackers: Mike, Robyn Trope Text: Mike, Germany: Israel doesn't have an image problem. Israel has an invasion/ occupation/expulsion problem and an aggressive expansion (aka settlement) problem. The resulting conflicts are identical to those of any other nation with similar policies throughout history and nothing new. All this image talk is a smokescreen against addressing the root cause Robyn Trope: "Why not try giving the Palestinians some land and peace". Israel gave back Gaza. What it got back are daily Kassam and rocket attacks. Israel should be "addressing the root cause" of the conflict. The root cause of the conflict is that Palestinians do not accept Israel's right to EXIST. Israel does not have and occupation problem. One can not "occupy" one's own homeland. Try to remember that Israel acquired Gaza and the West Bank through aggressive wars against her. Anti-semitism is now politically and socially acceptable. What do you think?
