This week's TechWatch takes a look at some of the recent announcements from local companies traded on the NASDAQ, the gold standard for publicly traded technology companies, and the home to dozens of Israeli companies who have made their shares available for public trading. Mellanox Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: MLNX), a leading supplier of end-to-end connectivity solutions for data-center servers and storage, based in Yokneam, has announced the immediate availability of ConnectX EN 10-Gigabit Ethernet drivers for a broad array of major operating systems, including Windows, Linux, VMware Infrastructure, Citrix XenServer and FreeBSD. With these broad software-platform certifications, Mellanox's ConnectX EN solutions enable IT managers with the most efficient, flexible and high-performance 10-gigabit ethernet networking for data centers and high-performance systems. Herzliya-based Jacada Ltd. (NASDAQ: JCDA), a leading provider of unified-desktop and process-optimization solutions for customer-service operations, has announced that it has signed a material-services agreement with an existing customer, a large German telecommunications provider. Revenue from the agreement will be recognized over current and future quarters, it said. The customer has selected the Jacada unified-desktop solution to bridge together existing legacy systems, and to simplify and automate priority call processes to enable the customer-service agents to effectively upsell and cross-sell other triple-play services. Based on the success of the initial phases of this project, the customer has signed a second agreement to incorporate more process and deeper integration to new backend systems. Or Yehuda-based Magic Software Enterprises Ltd. (NASDAQ: MGIC), a leading provider of application-platform and business- and process-integration solutions, has announced the general availability of the Data Replicator for Salesforce.com, designed to provide automatic, real-time data back-up for organizations using Salesforce.com. Up until now, organizations had no simple way of controlling their Salesforce.com marketing and sales data held off-premise. By using Magic Software's Data Replicator for Salesforce.com, organizations can rapidly and easily reproduce any snapshot of their Salesforce.com data and make it available on their on-premise databases. As well as assuring 24/7 access to mission-critical information on customers, suppliers and markets, a real-time on-premise copy of Salesforce.com data lets organizations perform a range of tasks to better view and understand orders, sales opportunities, regional dynamics and more. Finally, Ra'anana-based Actimize, a leading provider of transactional risk management software for the financial services industry and a NICE Systems (NASDAQ:NICE) company, has announced that Datamonitor's recent "Using Technology to Combat Financial Crime in Retail Banking" research identified it as the only vendor out of 29 reviewed with core competencies across all AML and fraud-detection areas.
